Survival advice circulates widely and a good deal of it is wrong. Moss does not reliably indicate north. Berries eaten by birds are not therefore safe for you.

These questions target decisions where the intuitive move is actively dangerous — swimming against a rip current, putting water on a grease fire, sheltering under the tallest nearby tree. Worth reading as general knowledge rather than as training; none of it substitutes for actual instruction.
